What is Artifical Streaming?
What is Artifical Streaming?
Updated over a year ago

Artificial Streaming is when an artist uses artificial means to increase their streams.

This is bad and you should never do this.

It might not always be obvious that you are signing up for a malicious company. "Promo" companies that claim to set up ads on your behalf are often scams. Companies that promise streams or playlist placements are also often scams.

Streaming services are constantly working to identify and filter artificial streaming on their platforms. Streaming services remain the right to pull any manipulated content from their platforms.

Spotify has their own article on artificial streaming:

If you get caught using artificial streaming, your music will likely be removed from streaming services and you won't get paid. You also risk having your Anti-Joy account terminated.
