I'm Switching from a Different Distribution Company to Anti-Joy. What's the Process?

Welcome! We are confident that you will not be disappointed.

Moving your music to Anti-Joy is a simple process. Allow me to guide you through it:

  1. Upload your releases to Anti-Joy.

  2. After your music has been approved, proceed to your former distributor and delete the releases.

It's important to note that Anti-Joy works swiftly, which may result in a situation where your albums are displayed in stores twice before your previous distributor removes them. However, there is no need to be concerned about this.

Important: To avoid losing stream counts, saves, or playlists you're on, it's important to use the same metadata (album title, track titles, ISRCs, etc.) and upload the same audio files that were previously used with your old distributor. Although we can't guarantee the outcome as it's out of our control, stores like Spotify typically prioritize preserving your existing data. It's worth noting that reviews on iTunes and Amazon may not carry over.

At Anti-Joy, you'll come across a plethora of benefits:

  • Automatic royalty splitting - let us know who to pay, and how much to pay them. We'll take care of the rest.

  • Tune-Link - start sharing your music right after uploading it. Let people pre-save your upcoming release. We'll automatically add links to the page.

  • AI mastering - have your music release-ready and professionally mastered by AI technology in minutes. Powered by the great folks over at Dolby.io.

  • Artwork Generator - don't have the time to design your own artwork? Our AI artwork generator lets you create your perfect artwork in seconds.

  • Promo-art Generator - have promo-art generated for your upcoming release that can be shared across social media to drive buzz around your music.

  • And more
